Zimmer-G

Zimmer-G was formed in 2000 and primarily was planned to be Ivan Voltanov's solo project. Yet other musicians from Obninsk (Neuromancer, Liza Rogotovskih, etc.) have managed to contribute to the project. Music style can be described as lounge, it doesn't suit dancefloor but fits chill-out and home parties perfectly.

The compositions are imbued with tender melodies, soft taps and remote voices. Single tracks were used in Natalya Shirokova's Modern-Dance-Theatre performances and ballet “Hedonics&Erotics”.

Since 1998 Voltanov was a part of a project called C.V.B.S., which specialized in deep-techno. The project splits up in 2000, and Ivan got a fancy for trip-hop.

Voltanov is one of the founding fathers of art project uph0—an association of electroic musicians, DJ's, designers, painters, actors, photographers and other creative people.

As a DJ, he plays trip-hop, easy listening and deep house. He actively gives performances on tours.
