Visual Noise

by David Fokos

Long exposure as an instrument of zen experience.

For centuries Zen Buddhists have recognized that the austere presentation of a single object — a single blossom rather than a full bouquet, for example — allows the viewer to more fully appreciate it’s beauty. In this same way, David hopes that his minimalist images facilitate a deeper understanding of his subjects.

In case you represent a rare and almost impossible type of people who don’t like Zen Buddhism but at the same time have a crush on geometry, those images still will touch you, genuinely. As well as everyone who simply appreciates peacefulness, feels the beauty of simple things in this world or just dislike the excessively flamboyant style of modern popular culture.
