It takes just a tick against the “Keine Mautstrassen” option in the settings of a German-speaking GPS navigator in order to turn an ordinary journey from one location to another into something else. Avoiding tolls and highways, the system sets the course selecting only regional communicationstracks and dirt roads. The ride turns into jogging on pits and bumps. Abandoned ramshackle houses are passing by. The car is rushing though a pastoral silence of villages. Industrial zones and junkyards are left behind. Wind is buzzing in a slightly opened windowthe view through it is hardly exciting.
The track “Keine Mautstrassen” appears on Yellowhead’s album
“Mealwine”, which was released by netlabel Heavy Mental.
Tremendous appreciation for helping in filming goes to Pavel Bor.
