Electronic cash to cartoon money conversion

For the first time in a while you have an opportunity to get into business with us—56STUFF announces the beginning of conversion of electronic cash into cartoon money. Here’s how it works:

1. You transfer any amount of money (as little as one dollar or euro) through Paypal to our account. Don’t forget to indicate your real email address.

2. Shortly thereafter you receive an email with a link to download a subject-related poster in resolution high enough to be printed in A3 (Tabloid) format. The poster was made by Yellowhead. You can take a look at the slightly bigger version of it if you click the image on the left.

3. All funds collected through this initiative will go on paying for our internet hosting. That way we’ll be able to make this site even better—add more free music, interesting videos and other great things.

 Interrobang: the event-symbol

This event is not named by a word or even a letter but a symbol. A question/exclamation mark called 'interrobang' slyly expresses two opposite emotions thus being excessively expressive.

The organizers are glad that it allows them to avoid writing press-releases (which, as we know, no one reads anyway) and coming up with some sort of a conception.

So here's the gist: 56 STUFF artists Idiosync and Yellowhead are going to be performing their own music, and Disconorte will play a disco dj set.

For those who for some reason cannot attend the concert, ABC Galaxy have prepared a consolatory bonus—a web-version of their album 'Glambrainwow' comprising fourteen tracks which they put online for a free download (ifolder, 95MB).

“Behind the Wall”

The film director Anastasia Kopylova made her animated film “Behind the Wall” available for online watching.

This film was made in 2009 as a part of the international short film competition “Crossing Boundaries” (and won the 2nd prize) organized by Goethe-Institute in cooperation with “Rememberance, Responsibility and Future” Foundation.

Among those who took part in a production process, there are two people which are known for observant visitors of 56STUFF.com. They are: Anton Drozdov — he was a director of photography, and Yellowhead — he composed the music for this film.

You may watch a full version of “Behind the Wall” (the duration is just under eight minutes) with a help of vimeo.
