Marfa and Tolik, Simple Life Illustration

by Roman Dubinsky aka Palitra_Art

Everyday life of a supposedly proletarian two-people family.

Marfa and Tolik, who are they? The proletarian family — a locksmith and a hoistwoman? Maybe. How old are they? It is hard to say with certainty. Are these two people happy? We can only guess.

What we can say obviously is that their life is hueless and gray. There are no fascinating happenings or brave deeds. This existence is simple and common. Nevertheless, Roman Dubinsky discovered some poetry in this routine. We can feel it too — the artist lets us to take a look at Marfa and Tolik in a familiar, intimate way.
